After my first reading of Webber’s proposal, I was confused. I didn’t know what kind of a worship service he was describing. Then I realized he wasn’t talking about blending music styles but blending liturgical flow and contemporary participation (?) (This would make my church a contemporary worship church that also happens to love hymns…or something like that). That said, he really didn’t define what a blended service would look like, and I found his theological backing (and the article in general) hard to follow.
